In January 2012 the Explorers spent a session discovering that while light travels in a straight-lined path, it is still possible to see around corners. This of course raises all sorts of possibilities in the realm of student espionage!

Having made our space age color wheels (from such high-tech materials as posterboard, construction paper, scissors, and glue) during our previous session, it was now time to put the finishing touches on them and get them to spin.

In January 2010, the Explorers became secret agent spies—or perhaps submarine captains—by creating their own periscopes.

Cloudgazing—err, stargazing

On October 29, 2009, the Explorers met for an evening of checking out the moon with a telescope. Unfortunately clouds put a big damper on the views, but there were still a few glimpses to be seen.
