A periscope is a device for seeing around corners to view objects that are not within a direct line of sight. It uses mirrors to reflect light from one direction to another.

In January 2012 the Explorers spent a session discovering that while light travels in a straight-lined path, it is still possible to see around corners. This of course raises all sorts of possibilities in the realm of student espionage!

In January 2010, the Explorers became secret agent spies—or perhaps submarine captains—by creating their own periscopes.
