On May 21, 2009, the Explorers hosted an open house for their families.
Club members had the chance to demonstrate some of the year's best activities to their families at stations set up in front of the school. Activities highlighted included pop bottle rockets; plaster of paris seashell fossils; straw instruments; water glass tunes; and Mentos geysers.
